The FIT Home Test: Part One

I have begun. The dreaded (or not) home test for FIT is looming in my mind. While I haven't actually started any applications, I surely know what the challenges are going to be. It's always the same. Women goes on weekend vacation: five pieces, four looks and go! The other is that blase straight out of Project Runway "Design a look using any object as your inspiration."

For, as I like to call it, "The Vacationer," I've narrowed it down to three cities/regions, and for the first, I've turned to this man:

Seriously.

For no reason other than to broaden my horizons and gather together some 19th century literary masterpieces, I'm reading Anna Karenina and (probably) War and Peace. If it worked last year for Dracula (and I'm still sticking to my story that I didn't get in mainly based on my sewing skills rather than my design/illustrative skills), it can work for the man who almost called his great novel "War, What is it Good For?"

More to report in the coming days. Twelve days until American Lit begins. Thirteen until the fun that is Tailoring.
